The blade came down fast, aiming for Nero’s throat—but before it could sink in, his hand caught yours in a brutal grip. In an instant, he twisted, dragging you onto the bed. You rolled across the mattress, exchanging blows in the dark, heavy breaths filling the room.

You tried to slip away, quick as a shadow, but he was pure strength. With one rough movement, Nero pinned you down, his body pressing against yours, your wrists trapped above your head.

— Finished? — His voice was low, ragged, his eyes burning with fury.

Your smile was pure venom.

— You look more turned on than angry.

His gaze darkened, fingers tightening around your wrists.

— Watch your mouth.

Your body trembled—not with fear, but from the suffocating electricity between you. You arched slightly beneath him, your voice dropping to a taunting whisper.

— Then shut me up, if you can.

The silence burned before Nero crashed his lips onto yours—rough, furious, like the fight wasn’t over yet.
